Volleyball player Krayduba made a victorious debut for the French club in the Champions League in the Ukrainian “derby”

The diagonal player of the Ukrainian national volleyball team, Anastasia Krayduba, made her debut for the French Levallois in the Champions League. This happened in the fifth round game against the German Palmberg, for which another Ukrainian, Anna Artyshuk, plays.

Krayduba became a player for Levallois at the end of January, having transferred from the Greek Zaon and signed a contract with the French team until the end of the season. After missing the match against Cannes in the French championship, where Levallois won (3:1 in sets), the Ukrainian volleyball player was included in the application for the Champions League game.

Krayduba's debut for Levallois was successful. The Ukrainian volleyball player finished the match with 11 points – only three players from the Parisian club scored more in the team: point guards Magdalena Bukovska (25) and Bianca Bertolino (14), as well as central blocker Nika Milosic (21). Ukrainian diagonal player Anna Artyshuk, who plays for Palmberg, finished the game with an identical score to Krayduba – 11 points.

In addition to his effective game, Krayduba managed to win his debut match for Levallois. The Parisian team beat Palmberg, and did it in a strong-willed style: after losing the first two games, Levallois took the game to a tiebreak, where they won with a score of 15:9.

The victory over Palmberg was Levallois' first in the history of the Volleyball Champions League – the Parisian team had never won the tournament before.

The win also leaves Levallois in the mathematical fight for a place in the Champions League playoffs. The French team is currently in third place in the third-place ranking – only the best team will advance to the next round.
