
Panathinaikos Athens won 3:2 over PAOK in the third match of the final series of the Greek volleyball championship. Ukrainian player Dmytro Yanchuk became the most productive player and was recognized as the MVP of the match.
The final series of the Greek Volleyball League 2025/26 season lasts until one of the teams wins three games. Before the start of the third match, the score in the series was tied at 1:1. Panathinaikos hosted their opponent at the home arena of Mets in Athens.
The match ended with a 3:2 victory for Panathinaikos. The first set was won by the home team (25:22), but PAOK was stronger in the next two games (21:25, 22:25). In the fourth set, the Athenian club restored parity (25:18), sending the game to a tiebreak. In the decisive fifth game, Panathinaikos was trailing 3:6 and 6:7, but managed to snatch victory — 16:14.
Ukrainian Dmytro Yanchuk became the most productive player of the match . He has 23 points, of which 13 were scored in the attack (43% efficiency). He also has 7 aces and 3 points on blocks.
Following the game, the Ukrainian playmaker was recognized as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the match. The award was presented to the athlete by club president Dimitris Vranopoulos.

This is the second MVP award for the Ukrainian in the final series. In the first match of the final, the Athenian team won 3:1, and Yanchuk was recognized as the MVP (he scored 18 points).
With this victory, Panathinaikos took a 2-1 lead in the series. The fourth match of the final, which could be decisive in the fight for the Greek championship title, will take place on Saturday, May 9. The game will be played at PAOK's stadium.
