Ukrainian synchronized divers entered the top 8 of the 3-meter diving World Cup: results

Ukrainian divers Stanislav Oliferchyk and Kirill Bolyukh competed in the final of the World Cup stage in Montreal, Canada, in synchronized diving from a 3-meter platform.

Twelve duets competed in the finals of the synchronized diving competition. After six attempts, the athletes determined the winners in this discipline at the World Cup stage in Montreal.

How did the synchronized diving competition from a 3-meter platform go?

  • After the first attempt, the Ukrainian duo took sixth place, scoring 47.40 points for their jump (difficulty 2.0). They were 6 points behind the leaders, Zhongyuan Wang and Zheng Jiuyuan from China.
  • The Ukrainians' best result was the vault on their third attempt, where they scored 76.50 points, placing them third overall. This moved Oliferchyk and Bolyukh up to fourth place.
  • However, the Ukrainian divers failed to stay in the fight for the top 4. In the next two attempts, they showed a seventh overall result, and in the decisive, sixth dive, they dropped to eighth place.
  • The Chinese duo of Wang Zhongyuan and Zheng Jiuyuan won the final with 461.37 points, 19.74 points ahead of their closest competitors, Juan Hernandez and Osman Ibarra from Mexico.

On the first day of the new season of the Diving World Cup, the men's 10-meter platform qualification took place, where Oleksiy Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko advanced to the finals of the individual competitions.

The competitions at the World Cup stage in diving will continue on Sunday, March 1. On the decisive day of the stage in Montreal, in particular, the final of diving from a 10-meter platform will take place, where Oleksiy Sereda and Mark Hrytsenko will participate.
