Ukrainian tennis player Veronika Podrez reached the quarterfinals of the WTA tournament. In the second round match of the WTA 250 tournament in Rouen, the Ukrainian defeated Italian Elisabetta Cocciaretto in three sets.
Podrez made her first WTA main draw appearance in her career. The 19-year-old tennis player defeated former US Open champion Sloane Stephens of the United States in straight sets in the first round.
