Ukrainian diving champion Nikita Kozubenko dies in battle
This sad news was announced by the Sports Committee of Ukraine on their Facebook page, according to information from Ukrinform.
Born and raised in Mykolaiv, Kozubenko began playing sports at an early age and has dedicated a significant part of his life to it. Since 2017, he has worked as a diving coach and has a level 2 coaching qualification. In 2018, he completed his studies at the Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University.
“All of this — education, sports, training and mentoring young people — was his true life,” the committee noted. “In the most difficult times for the country, Nikita took up arms to defend his native land.”

He passed away at the age of 31.
