Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh sets world record in high jump

Ukraine’s Yaroslava Mahuchikh, the reigning world champion, set a new world record in the women's high jump at the Paris Diamond League.

Mahuchikh won the women's high jump competition, setting a new world record of 2.10 meters in her first attempt.

The previous women's high jump record was set in 1987 by Bulgaria’s Stefka Kostadinova, who cleared 2.09 meters at the World Championships in Rome, Italy.
