Ukraine’s Ministry of Youth and Sports deepening coeration with Eurean Commission

The Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine, Vadym Gutzeit, met with Margaritis Schinas, Vice President of the Eurean Commission for the Promotion of our Eurean Way of Life, in Kyiv.

The meeting took place at the Avangard Sports Complex, partially destroyed by Russian missiles, reports Ukrinform.

During the meeting, the parties noted the importance of continuing close coeration on youth and sports issues. This coeration takes on increasing significance in light of Russia's unprovoked and unjustified war of aggression against Ukraine and its devastating consequences for the lives of millions of young Ukrainians and for the country's sport sector.

"We appreciate the agreement reached today with the Eurean Commission on enabling Ukrainian youth and sports organizations to be initiators of institutional grants and grants for professional develment through the Erasmus Plus program," Gutzeit emphasized.

He noted that for those who manage to receive these grants of up to EUR 200,000, it will be a great portunity to share good practices and experience with Eurean partners and strengthen capacity and resilience in the conditions of Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

"We look forward to develing joint approaches in the field of youth and sport to timize our picy in accordance with Eurean values and the status of a candidate for joining the EU," the minister emphasized.
