The Ukrainian national team announced the squad for the first matches of the renewed Euro U19 football qualification: who is in the application

The Ukrainian U18/U19 national football team has announced the list of players who will take part in the first round of qualifying matches for the 2027 UEFA European Championship (U19). The list was published by the Ukrainian Football Association.

At the U19 European Championship level, matches from two separate qualifying rounds will be held in March: the first round of qualifying for the 2027 tournament will start in parallel with the elite round of qualifying for Euro 2026.

For the first time, the qualifying tournament will be held in an updated format consisting of three stages. Ukraine (players born in 2008) has been placed in Division A for the first round of the competition.

In three matches in March, the team led by Oleksandr Sytnyk will face the Czech Republic, Estonia, and Finland. The team for these matches includes 21 players.

What is known about the composition of the junior national team of Ukraine?

  • Shakhtar has the largest representation in the squad – five players. Nine players will join the national team from clubs in foreign championships.
  • The squad, in particular, includes forward Kirill Serdyuk from the German Stuttgart, Ukraine's top scorer in the Euro 2026 qualifiers in the U17 age category with two goals.
  • Midfielder Pavlo Lyusin and forward Dmytro Zudin became Ukraine's top scorers in the 2025 U17 Euro qualifiers, which the “blue and yellow” failed to qualify for, scoring four and three goals, respectively.

The matches will take place between March 25-31 in Finland. The Blue and Yellows need to finish in the top three of the qualifying group to remain in League A for the second qualifying round.
