
The Basketball Federation of Ukraine has released the list of players preparing for the second match against Spain in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
The Ukrainian national basketball team suffered its first defeat in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers. The “blue and yellow” lost to Spain in the first of two head-to-head matches between the leaders of the quartet — 66:86.

12 basketball players are preparing for the second match with Spain. Compared to the first match, the team has made one substitution: instead of defender Mykhailo Bublik, Kyiv-Basket player Yegor Sushkin has entered the roster. Dnipro center Daniil Sypalo has also dropped out.
The most productive Ukrainian players from the first match against the Spaniards were included in the lineup: point guard Oleksandr Kovlyar (15 points), center Dmytro Skapintsev (10), forwards Oleksandr Lypovyi, Vyacheslav Bobrov and defenseman Denys Lukashov (7 each).
Apart from Sushkin, all 11 other Ukrainian basketball players played in the first match against the Spaniards. Kovlyar got the most playing time (27:34 minutes), Bobrov and Ivan Tkachenko played more than 20 minutes. Mykhailo Bublyk played for 3:49 minutes — he did not score any points.
