Sweden beat Serbia for the second time in the match between rivals Ukraine in the Women's Euro 2026 handball qualifiers

In the Euro 2026 qualifying group, in which the Ukrainian women's handball team plays, a fourth round match was held. Sweden defeated Serbia.

The Sweden-Serbia match took place on the eve of Ukraine's second match against Lithuania. The first match for the “blue-yellows” ended in a victory with a minimal margin.

However, in the first match between Serbia and Sweden, the Nordic team won 29:26. This result put the Swedes in the lead of the Ukrainian group.

The second match between these teams also ended with a victory for Sweden over Serbia. The Swedes finished the first half of the match with a crushing score of 19:11, and although the Serbians managed to reduce the gap in the second half, the hosts achieved a winning result.

In the standings, Sweden increased its lead over Serbia to 4 points. Thanks to the victory, Sweden qualified for the Euros early – it will not finish lower than second place.
