Utah Jazz guard Sviatoslav Mykhailiuk scored 14 points in his first NBA regular season game in a month, in a 134-109 loss to the Phoenix Suns.
Mykhailiuk missed 13 NBA games after coming off the bench late in the first quarter of Utah's 125-128 win over Denver. The Ukrainian played 26 minutes of the game before the end of the game. Since then, Utah has won only three of 13 games without Mykhailiuk.
Instead, in the game against Phoenix, Mykhailiuk came off the bench, spending nine minutes on the court. During this time, the Ukrainian showed a double-digit performance – 14 points. Sviatoslav made four of five three-pointers and one of two free throws. Mykhailiuk also had two rebounds, one assist and a steal.
Despite Mykhailiuk's performance, his team lost 109:134. Utah's losing streak currently stands at five matches.
In 2026, Mykhailiuk played 19 games for Utah. His best performance was 18 points in a match against Indiana (131:122). In contrast, 14 points is the third best result for the Ukrainian in 2026. He scored the same amount for the team in three more games this year — against Atlanta, Portland, and New Orleans, in each of which he played more than 15 minutes.
Utah is in 14th place in the NBA Western Conference standings with 21 wins in 75 games. Mykhailiuk's team will play their next NBA game on Tuesday night, March 31, against Cleveland. Kickoff is at 4:00 a.m. Kyiv time.
