Shevchenko elected new president of Ukrainian Football Association
Andr Shevchenko has become the new president of the Ukrainian Football Association (UAF).
Delegates voted for his election at an extraordinary congress of the Ukrainian Football Association on Thursday, Ukrinform reports.
Shevchenko, 47, was the only candidate for the post of UAF president. He was nominated for the post by all permanent members of the UAF a month before the election.
At today's congress, 93 out of 94 delegates voted for Shevchenko (Shevchenko, who is also a congress delegate, did not participate in the vote).
