Shakhtar Donetsk striker Moraes may move to Roma

Italian football club Roma has again shown interest in Shakhtar Donetsk striker Junior Moraes, according to romapress.net.

According to the report, the club has already begun negotiations with representatives of the forward on his possible transfer. Roma manager Paulo Fonseca is interested in Moraes' transfer. Moraes played for Shakhtar Donetsk under Fonseca.

Moraes' contract with Shakhtar Donetsk expires in 2021. This season, the 33-year-d played 31 matches for the Ukrainian club in all competitions. He scored 20 goals and made nine assists. In the spring of 2019, Moraes received Ukrainian citizenship and made his debut for Ukraine's national football team.

Roma and Bogna were interested in signing Moraes in January. The striker himself stated that he wanted to return to Brazilian club Santos in the future.
