The Estonian claimed the “gold”, but lost the championship by 0.75 points.
Estonia's Henry Sildaru arrives at the 2026 Olympics as the only male skier to compete in three freestyle events. He failed to make the finals in his first two events, slopestyle and big air, but instead qualified in third place in the halfpipe, pushing him into contention for an Olympic podium.
The 19-year-old freestyler started the final with a fall in the first run, but in the second Henry showed a stunning result – earning 92.75 points for a combination of jumps. The Estonian led the standings until the third run, when American Alex Ferreira scored 93.75 points for his ride and passed Sildara.
And although Henry managed to improve his result by making the last jump more difficult, he earned 93.00 points – losing 0.75 points in the fight for the championship.
