Disqualified biathlete Passler wins appeal in doping case and will return to 2026 Olympics

Italian biathlete Rebecca Passler will be able to compete in the 2026 Olympic Games after being disqualified for a positive doping test, the Italian Ski Federation (FISI) announced.

Passler was temporarily suspended from the 2026 Olympics due to a positive doping test. The substance letrozole was found in the biathlete's sample.

After that, the Italian woman filed an application with the Court of Arbitration for Sport (TAS) demanding that the suspension be lifted “due to lack of intent and negligence” and that she be allowed to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games.
