- The Croatian national team managed to open the scoring in the third minute of the match thanks to a goal by 28-year-old striker David Mataj.
- Four minutes later, Croatia was able to double its lead in the match, with Niko Vukmir scoring the first goal against Armenia at the 2026 European Championship.
- At the end of the first half, Franko Jelovčić passed to Mataj, who scored the goal to complete his double in the match. The teams failed to change the score in the second half – Croatia won 3:0.
