Chinese snowboarder wins gold in slopestyle at 2026 Olympics, becomes two-time Olympic champion

Chinese snowboarder Su Yiming has become the Olympic champion in slopestyle at the 2026 Games. In the final of the competition, Yiming received the best score for his jump — 82.41 points.

On Wednesday, February 18, the 2026 Olympic Games snowboarding program continued with the men's slopestyle final. It featured 12 athletes competing for a set of medals in this discipline.

The competition was won by Chinese snowboarder Su Yiming, who scored 82.41 points on his first attempt. This result put him ahead of his closest competitor, Japan's Taiga Hasegawa, who also performed his best jump on his first attempt, by 0.28 points.

Yimin became the Olympic champion for the second time in his career, before that, the 22-year-old Chinese snowboarder won gold in big jump at the 2022 Olympics. This is also Yimin's second medal at the 2026 Games, he is the silver medalist in big jump.

In total, the 22-year-old athlete already has four Olympic Games medals: two gold, one silver, and one bronze.

The 2026 Olympic Games for snowboarders will continue with the women's slopestyle final, which will be held on Wednesday, February 18. This discipline will be the last in snowboarding at the Olympics.
