Armenian futsal player receives “reduced” disqualification for insulting Ukraine's national team

UEFA has suspended Armenian national futsal player Denis Nevedrov for one match for insulting chants directed at Ukrainian players, Tribuna.com reports, citing the Ukrainian Football Association.

Nevyedrov received a conditional one-match suspension, meaning he will be eligible to play in the next round of the European Championship. UEFA's decision also includes a one-year probationary period.

The episode occurred after Armenia's victory over Ukraine (2:1) in the first round of Euro 2026. The tournament's debutants emotionally celebrated the win, and Nevyedrov addressed the “blue-yellow” with the words “Sluts, Ukraine, suckers, n**y.”
