Ukrainian tennis player Marta Kostyuk became the champion of the WTA 1000 tournament in Madrid. In the final, the Ukrainian defeated “neutral” Mirra Andreeva in two sets.
In the final match of the WTA 1000 tournament, Kostyuk defeated Andreeva in two sets with a score of 6:3 and 7:5. Thanks to this, the second racket of Ukraine won the biggest title in her professional career. So far, Kostyuk has only triumphed twice on the Tour and both times at WTA 250 tournaments: for the first time in Ostana back in March 2023 and in Rouen in April 2026.
