Ukrainian player of Perugia Oleg Plotnytskyi became the most productive volleyball player in the match against Grottazzolina in the Italian championship. Despite this, the Ukrainian did not receive the title of MVP.
Perugia came into the match of the 22nd round of the Italian Super League on the back of a 13-match winning streak in the championship. The Ukrainian team was able to continue it in the game against Grottazzolina, which they confidently beat in three sets.
Plotnytsky's team took the lead from the start of the match and took the first game, ahead of their opponent by three points. However, at the start of the second set, Grottazzolina was able to pull away by four points and held the lead until halftime, when Perugia tied the score (14:14). After that, Perugia scored seven points from nine rallies and eventually extended their lead to a 25:20 victory. The third set ended with a crushing 25:14 in favor of the Ukrainian team.
