A staff member of the Security Service of Ukraine is suspected of accepting $68,000 to be taken off a wanted registry and secure a postponement of conscription. He intended to utilize forged documents related to three children to acquire the deferment.

A functionary from the Ukrainian Security Service, apprehended in Kyiv while procuring an illicit profit for aiding in getting him detached from the wanted database and procuring an exemption from military service, was informed about the charge, UNN reports citing the SAPO.
On February 24, 2026, under the established procedure by the SAPO prosecutor, NABU agents communicated the suspicion to an employee from one of the local departments of the Main Directorate of the Security Service of Ukraine in Kyiv and the Kyiv province.

According to the probe, the postponement was projected to be given by submitting deliberately deceptive papers specifying that the individuals purportedly had three offspring. The invented birth records were allegedly to be produced abroad. Moreover, according to law enforcement authorities, the functionary undertook actions utilizing his official position to mask prohibited operations.
