Subsequently, the city council passed a resolution to alter the land’s purpose and ready it for auction. “Following the businessperson’s success, the mayor pressed for an additional 100 thousand UAH, threatening to hinder the finalization of the lease agreement. Upon receiving these finances, the functionary initiated a decision to amend the site’s designation, thereby permitting the installation of production and storage facilities,” the prosecutor’s office stated.

“The mayor was apprehended in his place of work as he took delivery of the fourth installment – for the conclusive processing of documentation,” the prosecutor’s office announced.

The chief of the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional Prosecutor’s Office endorsed a report of suspicion under Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The determination of a preventative measure is underway.
