Members of the public notified patrolmen that an unidentified male was seen in the Kyiv region, in the village of Nemishayevo, on Central Street, holding an item resembling a grenade.
A unit of patrol officers arrived at the specified location and identified an individual holding a grenade. The perpetrator responded belligerently to multiple lawful commands and cautions from the law enforcement and made an attempt to use the explosive.
To eliminate the peril to the safety and well-being of both the public and officers of the law, the patrol officer deployed a duty weapon. Consequently, the culprit sustained gunshot wounds and was transferred to a medical facility.
