Nevertheless, during the vehicle’s examination, customs personnel from Chernivtsi brought to light a concealed consignment. A compositional analyzer was instrumental in spotting another powdered substance within bags of cement and bonding agent – namely, waste non-ferrous metals, previously used automobile catalysts. The worth of this kind of consignment is justified by the presence of platinum, palladium, and rhodium, which boast considerable market worth.
Altogether, authorities located 77 sacks, each tipping the scales at 21–22 kg, culminating in a total cargo mass of approximately 1,700 kg.
Furthermore, within the vehicle’s loading area, customs officials unearthed an unreported drone, alongside cigarettes from an assortment of brands and HEETS tobacco items, totaling 260 packets.

The assessed value of the items discovered surpasses UAH 10 million.
Records concerning infringements of customs regulations were prepared in accordance with Part 3 of Article 471 and Part 1 of Article 483 of Ukraine’s Customs Code. A formal notification was also dispatched to the Customs Bureau of the Chernivtsi region concerning conceivable indicators of a penal transgression as per Article 201-3 of Ukraine’s Penal Code.
