Today, the Desnyanskyi District Court in the city of Chernihiv lengthened the term of the preventive measure by sixty more days for a policewoman suspected in a lethal traffic collision in Pryluky, which resulted in the death of 6-year-old Alisa Kuprienko.

The team of prosecutors in this criminal matter was directed by Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Logachov, who actively participates in court proceedings. The determination to reinforce procedural management in this case was made by Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko.

This is principally because cases where children are victims are under the direct supervision of the Prosecutor General's Office.

Deputy Prosecutor General Viktor Logachov, in a conversation with journalists, stated that the preliminary inquiry period has been augmented to 60 days.

We will endeavor to conclude the inquiry and submit the bill of indictment to the court within this timeframe. We are awaiting the outcomes of the examinations, and we will also question more witnesses and undertake procedural and investigatory actions.

The investigation determined that following the incident, the suspect failed to implement measures to cordon off the scene of the incident, did not ensure a prompt request for emergency medical assistance, and did not administer initial aid to those injured.

The policewoman will remain detained without the possibility of bail until April 3, 2026.
