In Bukovina, law enforcement apprehended a 37-year-old male, a suspect in the abduction of a girl aged 13. The youngster was discovered safe, with no threat to her well-being or physical condition.

In Bukovina, officers of the constabulary took into custody an individual suspected of abducting a juvenile. The young girl was located during an extensive investigative endeavor, and there is no danger to her life and well-being. This is according to the National Police of Ukraine, UNN indicates.

On February 10, the police received notification concerning the disappearance of a 13-year-old Chernivtsi resident. Following her failure to return from educational institution, officials immediately launched a continuous investigation.
Due to these operational and investigative measures, officers discovered the girl’s location and arrested the presumed offender. He was identified as a 37-year-old inhabitant of Chernivtsi.
Preliminary investigations suggest the man enticed the young girl into his vehicle under the guise of providing transportation, after which he concealed her, against her will, within apartments belonging to his relatives where no one was residing at the time.


Police highlighted that there is no peril to the child’s health or existence, and no unlawful acts of a sexual nature were perpetrated against her.
The matter of informing the detained individual of the charges and determining a suitable preventative measure is currently in progress. Investigative actions remain active.
