Zhovkva and the Governor of Lower Austria discussed the security situation in Ukraine

“One of the key aspects of the meeting was the security situation in Ukraine and the joint efforts of Ukraine and its partners to achieve a fair and sustainable peace. Ihor Zhovkva expressed gratitude to Austria – and in particular to the federal state of Lower Austria – for the assistance provided, the amount of which exceeds 800 million euros. He called for increased support for Ukraine in key priority areas,” the statement said.
The Deputy Head of the President's Office emphasized the vital need to provide Ukraine with reliable security guarantees in key areas, including financial and humanitarian aid. He also noted the importance of Ukraine's irreversible path to EU membership, as enshrined in the country's Constitution. This topic was at the center of the discussion.

“We are grateful to Austria for its strong support for Ukraine's membership in the EU. Ukraine has fulfilled all the necessary conditions for the start of the first negotiations on the “Basics” cluster. We hope for the unity of the EU member states around the Ukrainian negotiation process, which should be based on Ukraine's progress and its objective assessment by the EU,” Zhovkva said.
As reported by Ukrinform, Austria has allocated an additional 2 million euros to support the “Grain from Ukraine” initiative and expressed its readiness to contribute to the restoration of Ukraine.
