Zelenskyy commented on whether the crisis in the Middle East could affect Patriot supplies to Ukraine

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy assessed the possible impact of the situation around Iran and the Middle East on the supply of Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine. Zelenskyy reported that the issue of supplying weapons, in particular the scarce PAK-3 interceptor missiles for Patriot systems, is under constant control of the Ukrainian leadership.

He said this while talking to journalists.

The President noted that he had discussed this with the German Chancellor just a few minutes ago.

“So far, there have been no such signals from the Americans or the Europeans. Everyone understands that for us this is life, a corresponding weapon. The PURL program The US and NATO initiative, which allows providing Ukraine with critically needed weapons, is working,” Zelensky said.

The president added that he is personally working to ensure that arms tranches come from European partners. At the same time, he noted that if the war is prolonged and intense, this could affect the number of air defense systems available to Ukraine.
