Zelensky's Office Comments on Prospects of Concluding Mineral Agreement with the US

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Igor Zhovkva reported that the issue of the Rare Earth Metals Agreement was one of the topics discussed during negotiations with representatives of the US administration in Saudi Arabia.

Zhovkva spoke about this on national television, Ukrinform reports.

“The topic was raised during the negotiations. The Ukrainian side once again noted that by its decision of February 26, the Ukrainian government approved the text of the draft agreement, as well as two potential signatories. Therefore, the Ukrainian side emphasized that it is ready to sign the agreement,” Zhovkva noted.

According to the official, the Presidential Office does not even rule out the possibility of signing online.

“The offline format is also being considered. We could meet in the US, Ukraine or a third country. This is quite realistic. There is also the possibility of online signing. The American side has taken note of this. On the Ukrainian side, there is full readiness to sign the framework agreement. We are ready to develop the situation at a rapid pace,” he added.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to sign an agreement between Ukraine and the United States on the creation of an investment fund for reconstruction. The agreement will include six key points.
