Zelensky thanks Germany for tangible support
He said this in a post on social media platform X, Ukrinform reports.
The head of the Ukrainian state noted that the previous week was “incredibly significant for Ukraine—a week of Germany in many ways”.
In particular, on December 2, Chancellor af Schz visited Kyiv.
“It was a productive meeting, with discussions focused on strengthening the protection of lives and bringing real peace closer. Earlier, in Paris, after the ceremonies at Notre Dame, I had a long and meaningful conversation with President Steinmeier during a dinner with leaders. We managed to cover many important details,” he posted.

Zelensky also wrote that the leader of the German position, Friedrich Merz, arrived in Kyiv today.
“Achieving peace requires the invvement of everyone who can help. We need a strong Ukraine for peace to be achieved faster and to be reliable. A strong Ukraine is what Eure, the United States, and all our partners around the world need—those who seek a world without war and want true security for all,” the President wrote.
According to him, to strengthen Ukraine, achieve a just peace more quickly, and prevent the outbreak of new wars, clear security guarantees are needed.
“Accession to the Eurean Union, an invitation to NATO, Taurus missiles—all these elements could enhance our strength. We thank Germany for its tangible support, which is saving lives in Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.
