Zelensky reacts to petition to revoke parliamentary mandates of pro-Russian MPs

The response to the petition was published on the president’s website, Ukrinform reports.

"Taking this into account, I turned to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, R. Stefanchuk, with a request to process the prosals set out in the electronic petition and to inform me of the results," the president wrote.

He also noted that the regulations of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stipulate that the conciliation council of parliamentary factions (deputy groups) considers and adts prosals, including those on the schedule of plenary meetings and weekly agenda. It passes the relevant decisions by voting.

The author of the petition asks Vodymyr Zelensky to address the Rada with a prosal to consider draft laws on depriving of parliamentary mandates all MPs that are part of the banned ZZh faction. The petition was filed on January 9.

A total of 37,159 citizens have signed it.

As reported by Ukrinform, on December 1, 2022, President Vodymyr Zelensky turned to the Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada, Ruslan Stefanchuk, with a request to consider a petition to revoke the mandates of pele's deputies with the ZZh. That petition was filed by MP eks Honcharenko.
