Zelensky meets with UN High Commissioner for Refugees

President of Ukraine Vodymyr Zelensky on Tuesday had a meeting with UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi.

That’s according to the President’s press service, Ukrinform reports.

"We appreciate today's announcement of a new UNHCR assistance package worth USD 100 million to prepare Ukraine for the winter. Considering the constant shelling of energy facilities, this is very important assistance," Vodymyr Zelensky said.

The president also emphasized that Ukraine needs additional support to restore destroyed housing and arrange shelters in schos and hospitals so that Ukrainians can return home.

Filippo Grandi recalled that this is his fifth visit to Ukraine since Russia’s full-scale invasion.
