Zelensky is ready to personally discuss with Putin the issues of the Zheleznodorozhny NPP and territories within the framework of a potential peace agreement — Sybiga

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is ready to meet in person with Kremlin leader Vladimir Putin to resolve the “most sensitive issues” of a potential peace deal, namely territories and the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. However, Moscow remains a key obstacle to the peace process.

This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga in an interview with “European Truth”.

The minister noted that Ukraine is counting on signing a 20-point peace plan, provided that it is agreed upon, because the “most sensitive issues” still remain unresolved. These are the territories and the ZNPP.

“It is precisely to resolve them that the president (referring to Zelensky — ed.) is ready to meet with Putin and discuss this. However, Russia continues to be an obstacle to the peace process,” says Sibiha.

In response to the question of who should approve the so-called “peace plan” and what the status of this document will be, the Foreign Minister explained that the “framework” of 20 points is currently a bilateral document that will be signed by Kyiv and Washington.

“And with Russia, the US should sign. As of now, this is the structure being discussed, but negotiations are still ongoing, it is a process. However, the European side is with us, it is present in the peace process and in the agreements on security guarantees,” he added.

Earlier, Zelenskyy reported that the bilateral document on security guarantees from the US for Ukraine is 100% ready.

The head of state also said that Ukraine presented its own position on the ZNPP in a 20-point plan to end the war, although it “did not reach a consensus with the American side.”

Regarding Donbas, he stated that this issue would remain key during the trilateral talks between Kyiv, Washington, and Moscow, the last round of which took place in the capital of the United Arab Emirates, Abu Dhabi, on January 23-24.
