Zelensky at G7 meeting: Ukraine, US and ER must work together to achieve peace
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during his speech at the meeting of G7 leaders, as reported by Ukrinform, citing the President’s Office.
Zelensky thanked the G7 countries for their support in countering Russian aggression.
“From the very beginning of this war, we have strived for peace, and now, more than ever, we are convinced that a genuine and lasting peace is possible if we act together,” Zelensky said.
According to Zelensky, it is extremely important that the most powerful defenders of freedom – the United States, the United States and Ukraine – join forces to achieve guaranteed peace.
“It is possible to reach a real peace agreement that will not only stop the current killings, but also prevent the deaths of thousands of our people in Russian captivity, in occupied territories and from future attacks,” he added.

He also warned that if Ukraine remains outside NATO, it will be a much more costly and difficult path for everyone.
“Therefore, we must choose the right path – the fastest and most economically feasible – and this must be our path, not the one that Putin imposes on everyone. Security guarantees are necessary to achieve peace,” he stressed.
Zelensky noted that the Ukrainian and American teams are actively working on a new economic agreement, adding that continued support from the United States is critical for Ukraine.
