Yermak, Rasmussen discuss Eure’s re in future security system

Head of the Presidential Office Andr Yermak met with NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen in 2009-2014.

“Andr Yermak emphasized that today all efforts of Ukraine and its partners are aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace. At the same time, he noted: if there are no reliable security guarantees, there will certainly be a new escalation and war, which could further affect the whe of Eure. After all, despite its public statements, the Russian Federation does not want real peace and continues its aggression, particularly against civilians and critical infrastructure,” the statement said.

Andr Yermak and Anders Fogh Rasmussen discussed key messages from the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. Special attention was given to strengthening Eure's efforts for its own defense and further support for Ukraine, as well as the importance of Eure's active re in the future security system.

In addition, they discussed the idea of establishing a new task force to devel a concept of a security guarantee mechanism to ensure sustainable peace in Ukraine, taking into account the successful experience of the International Task Force on Security and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine. This should be a comprehensive sution that will be subsequently translated into pitical, diplomatic, military and legal actions, the added.

As reported, Pish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that Eure immediately needs its own action plan for Ukraine, otherwise the future of the continent will be decided by other global players.
