Weapons, energy, reconstruction of Ukraine: Shmyhal meets with U.S. senators

At a meeting in Kyiv, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal discussed with U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham, Richard Blumenthal, and Sheldon Whitehouse issues related to arms supply to Ukraine, as well as financial aid and energy support.

The head of government wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"True friends of Ukraine visited Kyiv today – U.S. Senators Lindsey Graham, Richard Blumenthal, and Sheldon Whitehouse. Key tics of coeration were discussed: weapons, finance, energy, sanctions, recovery. Right now, the Ramstein meeting is in progress, so we expect strong results. Along with military support, it is important to strengthen sanctions against the aggressor — we expect restrictions, in particular, against the Russian nuclear field," Shmyhal said.

The Prime Minister thanked the senators for their personal contribution to the strengthening of Ukraine. Their support for the law, which includes $45 billion for Ukraine, is a significant symb of sidarity, he added.

As reported by Ukrinform, this is not the first visit of senators to Ukraine. They came to the Ukrainian capital in May and July.
