
On Tuesday, February 24, special meetings of the UN General Assembly and the UN Security Council will be held to mark the fourth anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine reported this on Telegram.
It is noted that the eleventh extraordinary special session of the UN General Assembly will begin at 5:00 p.m. Kyiv time. During the meeting, a discussion will be held on the consequences of the Russian Federation's war against Ukraine, and participants will also discuss the steps necessary to achieve a “comprehensive, just and lasting peace” in accordance with the UN Charter and the norms of international law.
In addition, a high-level meeting of the UN Security Council will take place at 10:00 p.m. Kyiv time. It will be dedicated to the humanitarian aspects of Russia's war against Ukraine and international peace efforts aimed at ending it.
As a reminder, it was announced yesterday that on the fourth anniversary of the Russian Federation's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, French President Emmanuel Macron will convene the Coalition of the Willing. The purpose of the meeting is to strengthen the historic work of over 30 countries that have joined their military efforts to guarantee peace in Ukraine.
