Umerov discussed support and joint strategic projects with the Prime Minister of Norway

During his visit to Norway, Rustem Umerov held talks with Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre on issues of strengthening Ukraine’s defense capability and enhancing European security.

Umerov reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

“In Oslo, I had the privilege of meeting with Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. We discussed further support for Ukraine, in particular the US$7.8 billion in aid that Norway will provide this year for military and civilian needs,” he said.

According to the Minister of Defense, the main focus is on improving Ukraine’s defense capability and increasing the level of security in Europe.

The parties also considered joint strategic projects and priorities for the efficient use of resources.

“Norway continues to support Ukraine. Thank you for your help and leadership,” Umerov added.

As reported by Ukrinform, Rustem Umerov discussed increasing funding for the Czech initiative to support the Ukrainian army at a meeting with Czech Defense Minister Jana Černochová.
