Ukraine received draft agreement on mineral resources from US – Minister
This was announced by the First Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Svyrydenko during a government meeting in the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.
“We have indeed received a draft agreement and are currently studying it. This is a working version that mainly reflects the opinion of American legal experts. We are forming our own position,” Sviridenko emphasized.
She clarified that after Ukraine’s position on this document is finally determined, the government will hold consultations with the Verkhovna Rada.
“It is extremely important to note that any public discussions of the text of this agreement at the current stage only harm the negotiations and hinder constructive dialogue with our American partners. As soon as agreement is reached, we will present our public position to the deputies,” Sviridenko emphasized.
