Ukraine has about 30 agreements on security guarantees – Prime Minister Shmyhal

Ukraine has concluded approximately 30 security agreements with various states, some of which are already in force, especially in the context of providing assistance to Ukraine.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced this during a government meeting in the Verkhovna Rada, as reported by an Ukrinform correspondent.

“To date, Ukraine has signed approximately 30 agreements on security guarantees. All of them were signed at the level of the top leadership of our partner countries and have legal force. Some of them are already functioning, as we receive financial assistance, weapons and security support,” Shmyhal noted.

He added that 13 leaders of these partner countries were in Ukraine on the third anniversary of the full-scale invasion.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on February 26, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the decision to sign an agreement between Ukraine and the United States on the creation of an Investment Fund for the Restoration of Ukraine. The agreement will include six key provisions.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said that under the agreement, the United States supports Ukraine's efforts to obtain the necessary security guarantees to achieve long-term peace.
