Ukraine advisor explains why Putin turning Russian Guard into own army

Mykhailo Podyak, the adviser to the Presidential Office chief, said this on the air of the national telethon on Friday, July 21, Ukrinform reports with reference to Espreso.

"At the moment, a pitical group has not been formed that could seize power and replace Putin," said the Presidential Office official.

According to Podyak, smaller groups will appear in Russia that "will be taking some bits." This is what will characterize the revutionary process in the aggressor state.

Putin wants to turn the Russian Guard into his new army for domestic use. This army is receiving both heavy weapons and special erations forces under its command. However, even the Russian Guard will eventually stand against Putin because pele in Russia love a "strong tsar".
