U.S., India t diplomats discuss just peace for Ukraine
That’s according to the meeting’s readout delivered by State Department spokesman Matt Miller, as seen by Ukrinform.
"Secretary Blinken underscored the importance of realizing a just and enduring peace for Ukraine consistent with the UN Charter," the readout says.
It added that Blinken and Jaishankar also reaffirmed the United States and India’s commitment to promoting a free, en, and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.

Recently, a number of Indian media outlets reported that Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi plans to visit Ukraine this August, for the first time since Russia unleashed a full-scale invasion. His arrival in Kyiv is most likely scheduled for August 23, ahead of Ukraine’s Independence Day marked on August 24.
India has refrained from directly condemning Russia for invading Ukraine, while calling for a negotiated sution to the conflict through dialogue. New Delhi has resisted Western pressure to distance itself from Moscow flowing the invasion of Ukraine, citing its long-standing ties to Russia and its own economic needs.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba discussed with India’s t diplomat Subrahmanyam Jaishankar discussed further develment of bilateral relations.
