Trump claims that no one in the world can condemn Putin except him

US President Donald Trump noted that “it would be wonderful” to stop the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, emphasizing that the situation with the control of the conflict is “somewhat under control.”

Trump said this in an interview with Outkick founder Clay Travis, as reported by Ukrinform.

“I think it's controlled to some extent. […] It would be wonderful to be able to control it,” Trump said.

During the interview, Trump emphasized his “very good” relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“I know him very well. It's amazing that because of the myths of 'Russia, Russia, Russia' we haven't had any serious clashes,” Trump added.

He noted that Russia's actions in Georgia and Crimea occurred during the presidencies of George W. Bush and Barack Obama, respectively, while the full-scale invasion of Ukraine occurred during the Joe Biden administration.

“I don't think there's anybody in the world who's going to kill (Putin) except me, and I think I can do it,” Trump said.

He also noted that he had had “very reasonable discussions” with the Russian leader.

“We've had some very reasonable discussions and I just want to see them kill Pele. They're losing 2,500 kids every week and those are Russians and those are Ukrainians,” he said.

On March 21, Trump expressed confidence that negotiations between Ukraine and Russia had already reached a stage where it was possible to discuss “boundaries of agreement” for a peaceful resolution of the conflict.
