
As Ukrinform reports, this was announced in an address posted on the President’s official website.
“I express my gratitude to all our citizens who today demonstrate support, fight for our country and work for the good of Ukraine. I am grateful to every defender, every citizen of Ukraine who understands that independence is based on dignity. Fear and concessions do not ensure the security of peoples. Russia’s aspirations to control Ukrainian lands will remain only dreams as long as Ukrainians are united, supporting the army and assisting the state,” Zelensky noted.
According to him, a report has just arrived from a group from the UK led by the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak. Negotiations were held between representatives of US law enforcement agencies and the ER: Ukraine, the US – US Vice President J.D. Vance, the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Finland and Pan.
“All our messages have been delivered. Our arguments have been heard. The risks have been taken into account. The path to peace for Ukraine must be determined jointly – and exclusively – with Ukraine. This is extremely important. And it is necessary that our joint approaches and common vision contribute to achieving real peace. An agreed position. A ceasefire. An end to the occupation. An end to the war. I thank everyone who is with us, who supports Ukraine!” Zelensky emphasized.
As reported by Ukrinform, today in the UK a meeting of representatives of the ERA, Ukraine and the US was held, organised by the British Foreign Secretary David Lammy and the US Vice President Jay DeWitt to discuss progress in ensuring a just and sustainable peace.
US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin will meet in Alaska on August 15. The White House chief later said that the issue of “territory swaps” to end hostilities in Ukraine is being considered.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukraine is ready for real solutions that can lead to peace, but Ukrainians will not give up their land to the occupiers.
