The Cabinet of Ministers has simplified the confirmation of the right to customs benefits for Ukrainian defense enterprises that import components for the production of weapons into Ukraine. These include materials, components, assemblies, equipment, and components.
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram on May 21, following discussions with parliamentary factions.
She explained that from now on, defense-industrial complex enterprises do not need to submit copies of contracts, technical passports, and other documents to customs in advance.
“The necessary data will be indicated in the customs declaration, and the documents will be provided at the request of the customs authorities. If individual documents contain confidential information, they can be submitted in compliance with the confidentiality regime until the customs declaration is submitted,” the head of government said.
Also, according to Svyrydenko, simplified rules apply to co-executors and subcontractors of state contracts in the field of defense procurement.
The Prime Minister added that currently in Ukraine, more than 900 state and private companies, employing over 300,000 people, are engaged in providing the Defense Forces with the necessary weapons, equipment, and technologies.
