The European Union’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kai Kall, said she doubts the war in Ukraine will end anytime soon. She believes it could last at least two more years.

This is how she commented on the situation with the peace talks. Callas’ words are quoted by the Spanish publication El Pais.

“There are at least two years left of the conflict [Russia’s war against Ukraine],” says Kallas.

According to her, as of today, the war has already reached a stalemate. At the same time, Russia is only gaining courage, she says – as evidenced by the recent Russian drone attack on Poland.

Attack on Poland on September 10

On the night of September 10, the Shahed crossed the Ukrainian border and found themselves in Polish airspace. The Polish military used weapons for the first time – aviation was involved to repel the air threat.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk announced that 19 drones had flown into Poland. According to the latest data from the Polish Interior Ministry, it is likely that fragments of a Russian missile have also been found in the country.

Poland has officially asked NATO to strengthen its skies after a massive Russian drone attack. Warsaw wants additional air defense systems, including Patriot systems, and the latest means of countering drones.

Poland has also initiated an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council over the Russian attack. It will take place on Friday, September 12. Russia, in turn, denies involvement in the raid on Poland.
