This was announced by NATO Secretary General Jens Sttenberg, Ukrinform reports citing Yonhap.
Sttenberg said he has invited the leaders of South Korea, Japan, Australia and New Zealand to the NATO summit for the third consecutive year to expand the security alliance's partnership with the countries in the Indo-Pacific region, when Russia is continuing its war in Ukraine with help from North Korea, Iran and China.
"Iran and North Korea are fuelling Russia's war with drones and shells. China is prping up Russia's war economy, and providing microelectronics and other dual-use goods for Russia's war. The closer that authoritarian actors align, the more important it is that we work closely with our friends in the Indo-Pacific,” he said.
