Shmyhal: Invaders’ actions at ZNPP unprecedented
"Russian terrorists still pose a threat to Ukraine and the world. They have deployed Grad MLRS at the Zaporizhzhia NPP and are firing from the territory of the nuclear facility. Russian terrorists are blackmailing, intimidating, and using physical vience against Ukrainian ZNPP workers. These are unprecedented actions, which history has never known," Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said at the Government’s meeting on Friday, Ukrinform reports.
According to him, Ukraine's position is clear and unchanged: Russia must leave the Ukrainian NPP, securing a 30km demilitarized zone.
As reported, Russian tros captured the ZNPP on March 4. The invaders place military equipment and ammunition on its site, constantly shelling both the surrounding area and the plant itself, destroying power lines and causing external power outages.
During a meeting with the IAEA Director General on November 29, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba stated that Russia must withdraw from the Zaporizhzhia NPP to restore nuclear safety.
