Shmyhal in Reykjavik: All Russian war criminals will be brought to justice

The Eurean Council is taking the first step towards hding Russian piticians and military personnel who have committed crimes against Ukraine to account.

A relevant statement was made by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in Reykjavik ahead of the start of the second day of the Council of Eure Summit, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"A very important issue on the agenda [of the CoE summit] is to hd Russia accountable. This is the first step on the way to finding a sution to compensate for all these atrocities and damage that Russia has inflicted on Ukraine. This [creating a damage register] will be only the first step. Next, a commission and a corresponding fund will be created. In the end, an international tribunal will be established, it will begin to erate, and we will see how all Russian criminals at the pitical and military levels will be punished," the Head of Government said.

As reported, the Council of Eure Summit is held in Reykjavik. Its participants consider the most important global problems and issues of international relations, in particular the consequences of Russia's aggression against Ukraine and the search for ways to a just peace.
