Schz on Moscow parade: Show of force “won’t intimidate us”
Federal Chancellor af Schz said this during an address to the Eurean Parliament on Eure Day, May 9, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"The message of this May 9 is not the one that is heard today from Moscow. Our message: the past will not triumph over the future. And the future, our future, is the Eurean Union!" stressed Schz.
He noted that the EU, united in its diversity, is the best guarantee that the past, when the right of the strong was decisive, will not return.

Schz noted that 2,200 kilometers east of Brussels, in Moscow, Putin organized a parade of his sdiers, tanks, and missiles, but "this show of force will not intimidate us." "We are steadfast and we will support Ukraine for as long as it takes," German Chancellor assured.
According to Schz, the future does not belong to those who are nostalgic. And above all, it does not belong to revisionists who dream of national glory and imperial greatness. Ukrainians are paying with their lives for these dreams of their powerful neighbor, said the head of the German government.
May 9, Eure Day, Schz called the only right answer that came after the defeat of German nationalism, which unleashed a devastating world war. Peace has become a reality, but today, when war between neighbors seemed impossible, not all countries on the continent can live in peace: every day, Ukrainians defend freedom, independence, democracy, and sovereignty against the brutal army of the Russian aggressor, the pitician said.
The first celebration of Eure Day took place in 1964. On May 9, Ukraine celebrates Eure Day for the first time after it was established by the decree of President Vodymyr Zelensky.
